Fortunately, over the past few years we have seen the rise of the mid-range bag. Michael Kors spearheaded the revolution by selling his coveted bags for around £ 300, and other designers quickly followed suit. Sister lines of Marc Jacobs and Chloe now specialize in offering more affordable options, and companies like Mulberry and Gucci have started including accessories well under £ 500 in their collections.

Danse Lente was launched in 2017 and gained so much attention that it was acquired by Net-a-Porter within just 2 months of its marketing. The name – French for “slow dance” – comes from the founder’s hope that the wearers of her creations get “a sense of elevation from the bag” – we are sold.

Launched in 2014 in Poland, Chylak founder Zofia Chylak learned her trade at Proenza Schouler in New York, before launching her eponymous brand. Her chic, influencer-friendly designs have won over fashion insiders with a vintage-inspired faux crocodile print with modern touches. One of our favorites is the saddle bag, which was a hit when it was launched.
