Designer Brands launches “Warehouse Reimagined” for an enhanced and immersive retail store experience

A dynamic, customer-centric approach with iconic ‘proprietary’ brands and new technologies provides convenience and improves the customer’s journey to purchase

(NYSE: DBI) (the “Company” and “Designer Brands”), parent company of footwear retailer DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, has unveiled its new retail store format “Warehouse Reimagined” , a step forward in putting customers, brands and speed at the forefront of the Company’s business strategy. Debut at a Houston-area DSW, Warehouse Reimagined Presents Proof of Concept of Differentiated Omnichannel Experiences for Designer Brands‘ 700+ Stores Across North America. The new in-store experience elevates company-owned brands and product selections with modernized merchandising including in-store boutiques, complete family offerings and head-to-toe lifestyle imagery. Warehouse Reimagined also highlights well-known national brands with dedicated sections that prominently display products for easy viewing and selection by store customers.

Warehouse Reimagined features an updated warehouse-inspired design to maximize the ability to bring company-owned brands to life, including iconic Hush Puppies products which will now be sold exclusively at DSW stores. With other brands in the Designer Brands portfolio, including Vince Camuto, Jessica SimpsonLucky Brand and more, Warehouse Reimagined highlights the company’s long-term plan to grow its own brands to account for nearly 30% of sales by 2026. As Designer Brands puts more emphasis on l Focusing on these brands, the company will leverage its established infrastructure, fully integrated sourcing and loyalty program to increase market presence.

The new store will feature product displays with oversized graphics and the store walls will be flexible and modular to accommodate each store’s planned promotions. A section dedicated to children will present products at eye level and make shopping fun with interactive games and the possibility for children to measure themselves and select their own products. The improvements are complemented by easier-to-find selections and merchandising based on customer buying habits.

Warehouse Reimagined will also continue to advance the company’s philanthropic partnership with Soles4Souls. Soles4Souls distributes donations collected from DSW stores to entrepreneurs in developing countries to start and support their own small businesses to sell these donated shoes within their local communities while keeping these products out of our planet’s landfills. DSW recently surpassed a total of 6 million pairs of shoes donated to Soles4Souls.
