KO pokes fun at spending on designer brands as he predicts a global recession. It is not uncommon for SA rappers to branch out into clothing lines, either launching their own labels or cooperating with established multi-million rand companies.
KO is one of the rappers who managed to combine his economic understanding and creativity with the fashion industry. Taking to Twitter, the SkhandaWorld boss mocked celebrities who spend money on designer brands they only wear once or twice.
In the same tweet, the rapper said celebrities living for others would cause a global recession, and he warned everyone to be careful when spending money.
“Maaan you all spend way too much money on these designer brands for you to post/wear the outfit just once! SM brought the culture of “living for others” to its peak. We are actually going through a quiet global recession, be warned with that.” Tweeted KO
KO is not just a talent when it comes to knocking down the great beats of South African hip hop. The rapper has turned his talent into a brand, and his clothing line SkhandaWorld has teamed up with GreyWolf to bring quirky yet affordable clothing to Mzansi.
