It’s summer dress season.
Target launched “The Designer Dress Collection,” in partnership with three female-led fashion brands: LoveShackFancy, Cushnie and Lisa Marie Fernandez for summer looks priced between $ 40 and $ 60.
Expect soft flowers, lace and ruffles in the dreamy dresses from designer Rebecca Hessel Cohen’s LoveShackFancy collection. Lisa Marie Fernandez brings a wave of bohemian beach-chic fashion with sophisticated puff-sleeve shirt dresses and flare-sleeve blankets. And there are brightly colored slip-on dresses from Cushine designer Carly Cushnie.
WILL CLOTHING RENTAL COMPANIES SURVIVE THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC?
The dresses were designed for every body type with sizes ranging from XXS to 3X. Each will go on sale on June 6.
Retailers have struggled lately, with nationwide COVID-19 shutdowns prompting JC Penney, J.Crew and Neiman Marcus to file for bankruptcy.
Industry-wide, pants sales fell 13% and jacket sales fell 33%, according to new data from Adobe. Meanwhile, sales of loungewear, including pajamas, jumped 143%.
E-commerce, meanwhile, is booming for loungewear and leisure wear as more people invest in comfortable clothing with home orders in place. But now that the weather is warming up, there could be more demand for affordable summer staples.
